You Can Diet When You Are Asleep!
Edible Canada is once again is the Canadian media partner for FEAST Portland and we are more excited this year than ever before. With some new events to raise the bar to an unparalleled level, this is a weekend no food loving person should miss!
Heading into it’s 4th year, Feast Portland has established itself as one of North America’s, if not the world’s, top culinary weekends with guests chefs, incredible dinners, large scale events, small scale learning sessions and some serious, serious food and drink!
Portland has the reputation as one of North America’s best food cities, so a festival that not only celebrates the best of the region, but also brings in culinary celebrities from around the country and world…well, it is epic to say the least!
Tickets went on sale in June and most of the exclusive dinners sold out within hours, but there are still lots of great events left, including the full weekend packages which include all five of the marquee events plus your hotel (3 nights) for a steal at only $2,100. Last year rooms alone were going at up to $700 a night which means you get all the events for FREE! J A quick search online shows rooms right now are around $400 so be warned…book early as rates will rise!
If a full weekend is beyond your budget and/or your waistline, there are a myriad of events worth checking out individually…some of our recommendations include:
The Oregon Bounty Grand Tastings are a steal at only $60 a ticket for a full 4 hours of all you can eat and drink with flavours from all over the region and country including a hall of food samples, beer and wine galore plus a celebrity chef cooking stage and more. An amazing way to spend an afternoon warming up for the evening!
On the Saturday, there is a one hour event called Pinot Noir: The Battle for Balance which will prove to be a lot of fun, and what better place to drink Pinot than Oregon! And at only $55, this is a great to experience some amazing wines from the region.
On the Sunday, we have learned after 3 years of doing this, the best way to wind down after a weekend over indulgence is just to keep going….and everyone loves brunch, so we sure to get tickets to the Brunch Village where local celebrity chef, Jackie Kai Ellis from Beaucoup Bakery, will be showcasing her best as well!
So….what is required of you? Book your tickets, book your hotel, book a train ride down on Amtrak Cascades so you don’t have to fight traffic and you can relax and get a head start on the cocktails! Don’t wait….it will sell out soon!! I did warn you!
See you in Portland!
